I’m Alyssa! The owner of Alyssa’s Happy Paws, an insured pet care business serving

Temple, Belton, and Morgan’s Point.

I’ve been doing this for a bit now, and I’m so grateful it’s grown into something that fits not just my heart, but also my family’s rhythm.

I have a background in social work and vet assistant training, and caring for others (especially the furry kind!) has always been part of who I am. This business gives me the flexibility to do what I love while also being present for my family!

You might also see my husband, Justin, helping out as he is a part of the business as well! Whether it’s coming along on a drop-in, doing his own drop-in, or helping with a boarding guest, this is truly a family-run gig. I also love that my kids get the chance to meet some of the sweet pets we care for. They love helping with the business, and I love them tagging along!

Services offered

Depending on what your pets are most comfortable with, I offer a few different care options:

Drop-in visits – Stop by your home for about 15–20 minutes to let your pets out, refresh food and water, and give them some love and attention. I can schedule up to 3 drop-ins per day.

Home-based boarding – Your pet stays in my home. While it’s a loving and safe environment, please note this isn’t constant supervision, as I do leave for drop-ins and errands throughout the day.

Overnight stays in your home – Stay with your pets overnight in your home, plus includes a drop-in visit during the day for extra care and companionship.

Full-time in-home care – For pets needing more attention, there's constant care in your home with only minimal time away (based on availability).

Please note, drop-In's are our primary service offered and we have very limited availability for the other services. We do our best to be flexible and meet you and your pets needs.
